Burton Girls

Get Down. Rise Up.

GET DOWN. RISE UP. That’s our vow, and it’s a mantra that extends to how we live our lives. “It reminds us that we can play hard in the mountains, and that we can rise up no matter how many times we get knocked down,” says Kimmy Fasani. “Snowboarding constantly pushes us to progress and I love the feeling of rising up to learn something new.”

Out in California, before riding off on their bikes down a rocky desert road, Tavia turned to Skylar and said something that struck a chord: "It's gonna be a bumpy ride, but we're gonna make it." Trying new things, falling down, getting back up, and laughing 'til it hurts — things can get chaotic, but it's always worth it.

It takes all sorts to make up a strong community, but there are certain universal traits that hold true for Burton Girls: a strong urge to rise up for what we believe in, a healthy dose of attitude, and some pretty fierce friendships. At the end of the day, words are just words, and actions are how you get things done. That’s why we’re surrounding ourselves with friends who remind us to laugh when we’re scared, to get back up when we fall down, and most of all, to pursue our passions.
