JAN 2026

MINE 77 enters a new realm of innovation with next-gen Engineered Knit constructions, introducing seamless Woolmark-certified Merino layers and 2D Warp Knit outerwear that perform unlike anything we’ve made before.

DEC 2024

This winter continues Jake’s legacy for going down the rabbit hole on product innovation with pieces like the evolved GORE-TEX 3L Riding Pant & Jacket, and a seamless-knit construction balaclava made in partnership with Japanese Wholegarment specialist Sato Seni. 

JAN 2024

The deep winter drop includes a revamped reissue of the original Fish from 2002. A board that changed how we all ride pow, its surf-inspired shape was (and still is) reminiscent of Jake Burton Carpenter’s early- ‘80s boards like the Powder Gun and Backhill.

DEC 2023

Jake Burton Carpenter was all about sharing the joy of snowboarding with everyone. That legacy continues with the newest winter collection complete with the Ring Leader snowboard. It combines the legendary Feelgood and Custom into a gender-neutral design that knows no boundaries.

JAN 2023

The MINE 77 crew continues Jake’s vision with a uniquely technical winter collection. Innovative thinking includes a fully waterproof floral embroidery on a 3L GORE-TEX anorak and pant—a massive challenge to pull off, but Jake would be proud of the finished product.

FEB 2022

As part of the deep winter collection, we paid tribute to two of the greatest pioneers of all time—Craig Kelly and Jake! These two friends devoted their lives to snowboarding and honoring them on the CK Nug re-release and EST STEP ON® Binding only seemed fitting.

DEC 2021

Japan’s snowboarding heritage left a deep impression on Jake and Timi. The winter collection draws a connection to their shared experiences with art inspired by a Japanese tie-dye technique called Shibori.

NOV 2021

Rather than wait until December, Timi Burton and the team do an early release of streetwear pieces from the MINE 77 Winter Collection to get fans fired up for the cold months ahead.

MAY 2021

In addition to uniquely technical and innovative apparel, the spring/summer collection includes custom printed camping pieces in collaboration with Helinox along with a Channel Islands M20 surfboard.

JAN 2021

The deep winter collection includes a first for burton: 18 one-of-a-kind backseat drivers, each with its own unique graphic by dean blotto gray. Blotto's original painting included with each board.

NOV 2020

With Jake’s youngest son Timi at the helm, MINE 77 goes global for the first time ever with a line of uniquely technical products that are rooted in innovation, collaboration, and feedback from riders.

MAY 2020

Continually incorporating the feedback of others. The result is a very personal collection that’s been thoroughly tested, refined... Dialed.

Jake’s youngest son, Timi, steps up and carries on his dad’s legacy and passion for product development with the spring / summer MINE 77 collection.

The second MINE 77 product collection drops in February, perfect for deep winter conditions.

Jake launches MINE 77 as a creative outlet, obsessing over every product detail, tweaking, testing, and always improving.

Step On boots and bindings release. It’s all I have ridden ever since.

2007

The R&D crew exceeds my wildest dreams with the release of the channel and EST bindings.

2005

Years of development leads to the release of my preferred lacing system – Speed Zone.

1996

1996 Red Impact Protection begins. Before Anon, Red was our brainchild for helmet innovation.

1992

The need to stay warm and dry leads to developing snowboarding’s first technical base layers.

1991

Started developing 3D — the world's first universal board-to-binding mounting technology.

1986

All that hiking sparks my idea for a backpack with a built-in board carry.

1984

Hiking for turns means cold, wet feet. Searching for a solution leads me to the wetsuit sock concept.

1983

Development begins on the first snowboarding outerwear to outfit riders from head to (almost) toe.

1982

Experimenting with snowboard-specific footwear leads to the ’83 release of the competition shoe.

1980

Traveling in search of places to ride gives me the idea for the first board bag.

1979

The BB1 (Burton Backhill) and BB2 (Burton Backyard) become the first production boards.

1978

Exploration of new laminated board constructions using rock maple.

1977

Development of the first board prototypes begins in my New York City apartment.
