What does Ben Ferguson ride?

From ages 10 to 23, Ben put pressure on podiums around the world — from the Burton U·S·Open and X Games to the 2018 Winter Olympics. While dominating halfpipe comps, he was quietly building one of the most respected all-terrain styles in snowboarding. He’s one of the rare riders who can throw a method off any feature and have the whole mountain thinking the same thing: That’s the best method I’ve ever seen.

Over the past five years, Ben has gone full throttle into backcountry progression — blending contest-caliber precision with big-mountain creativity on the Natural Selection Tour and in major film projects. He’s a generational rider with a timeless style, and in 2026, he's bringing that perspective full circle with a limited-edition graphic on the Burton Custom’s 30th Anniversary model.

Ben’s riding style exemplifies the Custom’s all-terrain freestyle ethos, a board he’s trusted in slopestyle and halfpipe contests throughout his career. The Custom’s lightweight 700G core, reinforced with a snappy Carbon I-Beam, delivers the pop and response he needs without adding extra swing-weight. In the backcountry, he puts those halfpipe fundamentals to work with the Cartel X EST® bindings. On the stiffer side, they provide immediate response in critical moments and the power to stomp deep landings. Ben runs EST® mounting and The Channel®, Burton’s proprietary system that offers unmatched adjustability, enhanced performance, and maximum customization. His boots of choice, the Driver X, are the stiffest in the line, built for powerful riders who need unwavering support and the most responsive ride available.
