A new era of Chill.
Chill Foundation is going beyond their programming to create a more equitable outdoor community.
WHAT IS THE CHILL FOUNDATION?
Chill inspires young people through boardsports—like snowboarding, skateboarding, and stand-up paddleboarding—to build a more equitable outdoor community. Chill’s programs recognize the inherent strength and potential in each of their participants. Chill teaches new skills, builds confidence, and inspires a lifelong love for boardsports.
“I strapped in my first time, got a feel for it, and I loved it. It was life-changing. I felt like I could do anything.”
- Cole Ogutu, Chill alumni
INSPIRING LIFELONG PASSION FOR THE OUTDOORS
Chill seeks to effect change in the outdoor space and address the lack of representation of Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color (BIPOC) in the boardsports community by increasing access and connecting Chill participants and alumni to career pathways in the outdoor industry.
“We are working on fixing the barriers that prevent our young people from finding a permanent home in boardsports.”
- Ben Clark, CEO of Chill
CHILL WAS FOUNDED IN 1995 BY JAKE AND DONNA CARPENTER.
