Choose your Step On snowboard boot based on your preferred response level, boot fit, and degree of fit customization.

Snowboard Boot Response

Snowboard boot response, or stiffness, is a trade-off between support and flexibility; choose based on your riding style. Newer Step On® boots make this easier to identify using the Waverange and Highshot naming, while older models still follow the same flex principles.

• Soft/Medium/Waverange: Forgiving flex ideal for beginners building confidence, freestyle riding, and riders prioritizing comfort and maneuverability.
• Medium/Stiff/Highshot: Enhanced support and power transfer for aggressive all-mountain riding and high-speed performance.
