Burton has a responsibility to protect the people and playground that sustain snowboarding and the mountain lifestyle. In other words, we can't succeed as a business without succeeding at sustainability. In 2017, we announced ambitious goals to achieve by the end of 2020. *Burton's product development team is working hard to reduce carbon emissions across all hardgood categories without compromising on technical performance. This is proving to be a challenge for some categories, but we're committed to making positive progress for future seasons. Our 2020 goals for product are based on design year, meaning the Winter 2022 product season is our target for completion. Here is the breakdown of performance by category for the upcoming Winter 2022 season, in terms of carbon footprint per unit compared with the Winter 2017 baseline: Bindings reduced by 6%; Boards reduced by 21%; Boots increased by 5%; Goggles increased by 20%; Helmets increased by 10%.
