Celebrating 25 years of Chill

Give the Gift of Snowboarding

This holiday season, we’re asking our customers to donate at checkout to Chill, our global non-profit organization dedicated to getting kids on snow.

Chill inspires youth to overcome

challenges through boardsports.

Our Mission

Founded in 1995 by Jake and Donna Carpenter, at Chill, our mission is to inspire young people to overcome challenges through boardsports. Working with participants from marginalized communities, we leverage the excitement and unique experience of snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing, and paddleboarding, while incorporating life-lessons that promote personal growth and supportive community for those struggling with the negative circumstances that are holding them back.

“Snowboarding gave me the confidence and feeling of togetherness that will stick with me forever. I'm definitely never going to stop riding.”

- Meidan, Chill Participant

Ride. Inspire. Lead.

We coach resilience, progression, and leadership, which are enhanced through the fun, yet demanding, experience of learning a new sport. By covering all costs and building strong alliances with schools, social service and juvenile justice programs, youth agencies, and our boardsports partners, we’re able to change over 3,000 lives every year.

“Chill has helped me to learn new things by constantly pushing me to keep trying even after I have fallen. The program has changed how I live.”

- Dylan, Chill Participant
