Camp On with the Burton Crew in Washington’s San Juan Islands

The journey began and ended with rain. Of course, that’s exactly what we expected when we rounded up the crew, grabbed our camping gear and hopped on a ferry to Washington’s San Juan Islands. The Pacific Northwest is one of the wettest parts of North America, but it’s also beautiful, and the islands are just remote enough to disconnect for a little adventure.

Luckily it didn’t rain non-stop. Camp is set, time to take it in.

Unless you’re a real survivor, a good trip into the wild takes more than a box of matches. The gear you bring and the people you roll with are equally important. A place to hang, a table to play cards, or a chair to perch on the highest hill for sunset. These are the things that turn a drizzly weekend on an unfamiliar island into an unforgettable experience. With the newest line of Burton Camp On essentials, comfort is covered. So you can toss it all in the trunk, head for the nearest unknown, and keep on camping on.
