Burton Girls

New York to Vermont with Married to the Mob

Live Loudly. Be Fearless. Stay True.

When Leah McSweeney grew tired of the streetwear industry’s exclusion of women, she responded by creating her own brand: Married to the Mob

Gaining industry respect was an uphill battle from the beginning. As a business owner, CEO, and mother, Leah credits her success to perseverance. Despite the challenges, she kept at it and never lost sight of her vision, all while inspiring other women to do the same. We get down with our passions and rise up for what we believe in, so the collaboration between Married to the Mob and Burton has always been a natural fit — one that dates back to 2010 when we first linked up. This spring brings a new rendition of our mashup. The sensibilities of Vermont and New York merge in this latest collaboration with botanical prints and bold colors on streetwear staples you can wear anywhere. It’s unapologetic and original, just like us.

Try on any of these pieces, and you’ll feel the combined forces of Burton’s function with Married to the Mob’s street smarts and feminist edge.

A collection that is as comfortable in the mountains of Vermont as it is on the streets of NYC—the newest offering from Married to the Mob & Burton is a welcome addition to our Coalition. ∆
