Burton Girls

Meet the Burton Girls Ambassadors

Ever heard of shine theory?

It’s the idea that if you surround yourself with powerful women, you’ll bring out the best in yourself, too. To us, this gets to the heart of our Burton Girls Ambassadors: we get down and rise up together. While this group of progressive women is connected by their wild spirits, enduring passion, and mutual love for the outdoors, what sets them apart is just as important. We’ve got artists, athletes, mothers, and entrepreneurs among us – and so much more. Read on and get to know our community.

Alex Thomopoulos

Alex is an accomplished chef and culinarian, a stand-up comedian, and experienced on-camera host. As a humanitarian, she is passionate about the environment, health, hunger and sustainability initiatives. In 2017, she took the role of Head Chef at the new Venice Beach café/restaurant, Great White. Her goal is to have a positive impact and bring joy to those around her, one meal at a time.

Charley Zheng

Charley is both a freelance marketing consultant and a self-taught photographer based in the Pacific Northwest. She's on the constant lookout for the next great experience, collecting stories of people, places, and human insights to share visually. She believes ice cream should always be eaten off the cone.

Meg Kee

Meg loves and lives in Big Bear Lake, CA. Being surrounded by mountains provides a natural playground for Meg and her four-year old son to venture out for daily rock climbing and camping adventures. She channels her passion for the outdoors into her collective, @mountaingirls, which was created to inspire women to get outside together.

Mirae Campbell

Mirae considers herself a sun and snow-seeker first, photographer second, and digital media expert third. Though she loves her Whistler, BC, home, she considers herself lucky to use photography as a means to experience new places and share them with others. She adores all alpine activities, regardless of the season.

Rebecca "Possum" Torr

Possum is a former Olympic snowboarder and New Zealand native who now calls Mammoth Lakes, CA, home. She spends her days riding Mammoth Mountain or adventuring in the backcountry with her husky, Ryder. By night, she works as a bartender. Possum loves to golf, surf, and explore her beautiful backyard in the eastern Sierras.

Kate Ediger

Residing in Revelstoke, BC, Kate is a tail guide at K3 Cat Ski and working towards becoming a full lead guide. On her days off, she teaches snow safety skills with avalanche awareness courses. The highlight of her life is showing her son, Timber, the wonders of the natural world. She believes that her career in the outdoors is a privilege, but sharing time with her family in the mountains is irreplaceable.

Sam Tuff

Sam is a former slopestyle competitor from Alberta. After an extensive collection of injuries, she now seeks the softer landings of the backcountry. She is currently working towards her private pilot’s license. She loves dogs, Mexican food, and hanging with friends.

Skylar Dombroski

Skylar was born and raised in the tiny town of Tottenham, Ontario, and currently lives and works as a model in Los Angeles. She loves being on the mountain with other Burton Girls, acting like fools and pushing each other’s limits. She has three dogs named Spike, Ozwald, and Weener.

Zuzy Rocka

Zuzy is a professional photographer and illustrator living in Sun Peaks, BC. Creating art, discovering music, and snowboarding are key elements of her life. Nature inspires Zuzy’s artwork, and she’s always looking for new ideas and inspiration in the world around her. When she isn’t working or drawing, all her spare time is spent up in the mountains.

Kristen Fejtek

Originally from Orange County, CA, Kristen knew she belonged in the mountains at a young age. Now that she lives in Big Bear Lake, CA, you can catch her following her dreams and teaching snowboard lessons at Bear Mountain. She is passionate about adventuring and camping with her dog when she’s not on snow.

Annie Jensen

Annie is a 26-year old athlete and certified nutritionist. She has lived in the beautiful state of Washington for the last 10 years and currently works as a Nutrition Educator for the Tulalip Tribes. Snowboarding gave her the confidence to pursue her favorite activities, including hiking, mountaineering, and landscape photography. Her goal in life is to use her talents to encourage others to live happy, healthy, passion-filled lives.

Melrose Boyer

Melrose currently lives in the small town of Saint-Lazare, QC. She has been snowboarding and riding horses since she was four and five-years old respectively, and she hasn’t stopped since. While studying law enforcement, Melrose also works as an international model. She’s thankful for a schedule that allows her to travel and snowboard often.
