Comments about REDphones:
I loved how my previous helmet had headphones build into the ear pads. I purchased the Avid helmet along with the REDphones. After getting a chance to install the REDphones into my new helmet and messing around the volume and mute controls I realized I liked the old Audex system better.
There was only one button: Push once for mute, push again for un-mute. It was easy to get to with gloves on, mounted there on the outside of the ear pad. It was perfect.
This new REDphones button system is awful. The buttons are so small, how are you supposed to use them with gloves on? Where the hell are you supposed to mount this stupid button, clicker, thing? Inside my jacket? On my ear pad?
I've been riding for 13 years, and whenever I buy new gear I always check out Burton first because they're the best. But the stupid buttons really ruined these great headphones for me.
