Silent but deadly just begins to describe the poise and amplitude of this teenage superpipe slayer.

Born into it, Ayumu Hirano's father owns a surf shop and skate park in Murakami, Japan. Noticing the young transition ripper's talent, Kazu Kokubo urged Ayumu to find his own style. Break out 2012-13 wins at the Burton High Fives and European Open, and podiums at the Aspen X Games, Burton US Open, and Arctic Challenge earned Ayumu the World Snowboard Tour Halfpipe Champion title at age 15. A historic silver medal at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics solidified his reputation as the upcoming pipe rider to watch. The bigger Ayumu goes, the better he feels - as of now, the sky's the limit.
