2013 marks the 31st anniversary of The World's Greatest Snowboard Event and a new chapter in US Open history. Over 100 of the world's best riders will make their way to Vail, Colorado, the new home of the US Open for 4 days of intense competition and progressive riding on February 25th - March 2nd, 2013. We are excited to bring the riders and spectators enhanced venues and entertainment, amazing all mountain riding, and the best competitive snowboarding in the world.

New this season, the US Open will be spread across two events. The Qualifying rounds will take place at the US Open Snowboarding Qualifiers at Seven Springs, PA on February 1st - 3rd, 2013 and the Semi Finals and Finals will take place at Vail, CO on February 25th - March 2nd, 2013. Any rider who does not receive an invite directly to the Semi Finals at Vail will need to attend the USO Qualifiers in Seven Springs. The top 10 men and 5 women from each discipline will advance from the Qualifiers in Seven Springs to the US Open Snowboarding Championships in Vail.

Criteria for earning a spot to compete at the US Open Snowboarding Championships in Vail, CO are below:

Top 10 men and 5 women from the World Snowboarding Points List per discipline (HP and SS)

20 men and 10 women Wild Cards per discipline (HP and SS)

Top 10 men and 5 women from the US Open Qualifiers at Seven Springs per discipline (HP and SS)
