Rocket propelled response for those who earn every turn.
Aggressive and unfiltered, it’s the stiffest boot in snowboarding, but Total Comfort eliminates the break-in period at the start of the season. A NEW Power Spine™ backstay provides support and drive in a lower profile, lighter package. Grippy Vibram® EcoStep™ outsoles offer Piston Bully-grade grip. Built with an eco-conscience, it’s the obvious partner for riders who hike, sled, guide, or patrol, as well as freestyle technicians who demand the absolute most from their boot.

Comments about Burton Driver X Snowboard Boot:
I picked up the Driver X because I had read it was one of the stiffest soft boots. It really is! The boot is super easy to get on and off with the lacing system. I really like the ability to adjust the upper and lower zones with one single pull for each zone. I had reservations about the lacing system holding up, especially with the little grip teeth that holds the lace in place. So far so good! The laces hold up excellently so far and in fact my original reservation has become a problem for the exact opposite reason. It holds too well! I experienced this at first when I tried them on in the store and could not for the life of me figure out why the laces wouldn't come loose after pulling out on the cords. I thought I was going to be stuck in those things for the rest of my life. After figuring the lacing system, they go on and off super fast, much easier than my older lace-up boots. They are pretty comfy when loosened and O.K. when tight. It takes some futzing to make sure they are not too tight. Super stiff and responsive, these boots have elevated my confidence and ability to another level.
With Burton EST bindings, they are a dream for control and response. I rode my 'Cuda and it felt like a different board. I was carving and shredding with more control and confidence on steeper terrain. My minor complaint is some pinching discomfort due to heel lift on my rear foot, but this could be due to non-Burton binding interface issues.
Even if I hadn't gone with Driver X, Burton has won my future consideration due to lacing system and overall design.
