Comments about Burton Blah Blah Blah Snowboard Jacket:
Anyone considering this jacket is probably searching for a nice fitted jacket that is vastly missing in the ski/snowboard apparel market today. ie. Something that looks good on and off the slopes. Props to Burton for making an earnest attempt to bring this option to the market. I have had some experience in the past buying the so-called slim fit lines from Burton, (ie. Access Slim jacket from 2010-2011 and Stroker Jacket from 2009-2010), while they were slimmer, its still relatively baggy. This time Burton really slimmed things down with the Blah Blah Blah jacket... Maybe too much. I usually take size small jacket in all of my apparels... In this case I tried on both Small and Medium. The small looks amazing like street apparel but it is really tight fitting around the chest and armpit region when zipped up. While the Medium gives me the comfort in fit for the chest/shoulder, the sleeves are much wider/bulkier and the body is about 1" longer which looses that fitted appeal / short jacket appeal.
In the end, I have decided to keep the smaller size and will learn to layer with limited or thinner base layers. With 60G of insulation and limited layering ability, I think this jacket is good for 25* degrees+ days.
This jacket is almost perfect, before or after snowboarding, it pairs very nicely in my street clothes, I just wished Burton would have given the armhole and chest area marginally more room and maybe even apply some stretchy material in armpit and back vents for more flexibility.
